Week 8

MINISTRY ACTIVITIES
This week was another long week, not due to ministry in the local church, but this week we had FUSION youth conference on campus. I was in charge of the activities, so I was tired by the time Sunday rolled around. However, that did not keep me from being at church like I am supposed to be. I was there doing the ministry that I have been doing. I spent 6 hours in the local church this week. I spent most of my leading small groups, leading in group prayer, leading in activities and games, and just spending time with the students furthering our relationships. It was a fantastic week of ministry.

REFLECTION ON MINISTRY
This week was long. I enjoyed being involved in FUSION youth conference, because I had never been involved in that kind of ministry before, so it was a good learning experience for me. I feel as if God is giving me so many different opportunities to learn and to serve him. Which leads me to a question if he is teaching me why am I not learning more about who he is? Is it because I have not been the word? Other than that the ministry side of this week has been great. I feel like the more ministries I am involved in the more I feel equipped to be a leader in ministry. Which is a good thing I think.

SPIRITUAL REFLECTION
This week has been good in doing ministry, but in learning and growing in my own relationship with Jesus Christ, I have failed to do so. Which is starting to make me upset because how can I teach others to learn and grow in Christ if I am not doing this myself? I can’t. So I desperately need to start growing in my relationship with Christ. I need to make it a point to spend time in the word, prayer, journaling, and fasting so that I can grow closer with Jesus Christ.

  1. That is awesome that you were able to participate in a new form of ministry for you! I understand how sometimes it is scary to wonder how can God use me to minister to others, when I am stills struggling myself. I will defiantly continue to pray for you in that direction!
